Terms and Conditions of Membership
1. Introduction
Welcome to the Reptile and Exotic Pet Trade Association (REPTA). By becoming a member, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your membership application and making payment.
2. Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to licensed pet stores, chain stores, manufacturers, wholesalers, and other entities involved in the reptile and exotic pet trade within the UK.
All applications are subject to review and approval by REPTA.
3. Membership Term
Membership is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of payment.
Membership must be renewed annually to maintain active status and access to member benefits.
4. Membership Fees
Membership fees are outlined on the REPTA website and vary based on the type and size of the business.
All fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable.
Discounts for chain stores are applied as specified on the website based on the number of stores.
5. No Refund Policy
Once payment is made, it is non-refundable under any circumstances. This applies to the full range of membership fees, regardless of membership type or tier.
6. Membership Benefits
Members will receive access to resources, updates, and support as specified by REPTA.
Benefits may include industry news, regulatory updates, advocacy support, event invitations, and more.
REPTA reserves the right to modify or discontinue any benefits at any time.
7. Member Obligations
Members are expected to comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing the reptile and exotic pet trade.
Members must adhere to REPTA’s code of conduct and ethical guidelines as provided upon membership approval.
Members are required to keep their contact information and business details up to date.
8. Termination of Membership
REPTA reserves the right to terminate membership at its discretion if a member violates these terms and conditions or engages in conduct detrimental to the association.
Members will be notified in writing of the termination and the reasons for it.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
REPTA is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. Personal information collected during the membership application process will be used solely for the purposes of managing your membership and providing member benefits.
REPTA will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
REPTA reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes via email or through announcements on the REPTA website.
Continued membership after changes to the terms and conditions constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
Any disputes arising from or related to these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
